The Photographer

Born into the Mara

"I don't photograph wildlife. I photograph home."

Parsaloi grew up in a Maasai pastoral community on the edge of the Mara Triangle. He taught himself photography at 17, borrowing a friend's phone. Today his work has been exhibited across three continents — and every print sold still goes back to the land that shaped him.
